The All Saints Year 9 Boys Football team had a fantastic victory in our local derby against Kirkby Sports College. The game finished All Saints 7 - 0 Kirkby Sports College. Man of the match was Elliot Tomney. Tomney scored 4, and showed a masterclass of finishing. Each of his four goals were hit with so much precision that they came of the inside of the post leaving former All Saints keeper Steven Brown with no chance for his new Kirkby Sports college team. Brown did well to keep the score to seven. There was also a fantastic performance from John-Paul Nichols who orchestrated much of the free flowing All Saints football. He played deep in the All Saints midfield. Hi performance was like that of Barcelona's Xavi. Gillam Prescott had little to do in the All Saints goal, but is kicking and handling was exceptional. There was a rare headed goal from Declan Daniels. He wheeled away in delight as he hit a bullet header past the KSC keeper. There were also goals from Steven Williams, Owen Healy, and Johnny McNabb. This result puts All Saints firmly top of the league and bodes well for a defending the title All Saints took in Year 8.
A special mention and huge congratulations to Jack Swan who has been selected to represent Merseyside in their U14 Squad. He joins a select group of All Saints pupils to have had the honour, and we wish him all the very best.
