Year 9QNPE Taking Part In National School Sports Week

R.Griffiths in high jump action

Year 9 took part in their outdoor athletics competition on Wednesday. The event was held to celebrate National School Sports Week. All students tested their ability in the following 10 events:

High Jump, Obstacle Race, Shot Putt, Javelin, Discus, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Hurdles, 80 Metre Sprint, & Target Throw.

Students competed individually testing their skills in the hope of taking away a gold medal. The competitive nature of the vast majority of pupils was outstanding. The winning male and female student of each event not only took away a medal put points for their House.

Students from Year 12 & 13 led the activities. Once again they were tremendous, and made the event go like clockwork.
